The Holstein: First French Breed

Holstein is the most popular breed in France with more than 1800000 milk controlled cows. This breed imposed its adaptation capacity on the other ones. In an international context, France can provide a very large number of cows, registered and classificated. More over, French genetic organisation allows a good traceability and among the highest sanitary requirements.

French Holstein: Productive and durable

DYNAM’IS breeds Holstein in order to create cows able to produce high quantity of Milk and Protein, but also able to spend many lactations in the herds. That’s’ why we have special focus on dairy potential and all the productive life characters, especially Type and Fertility.

In France, the main Index is the ISU (Index de Synthèse Upra):

ISU = 50% INEL (Index Economique Laitier) = 0.98 (Protein Kg + 0.2 Fat Kg + Protein% + 0.5 Fat%)
12,5% TYPE = 60% Udder + 20% Body Capacity + 20% Feet and Legs
37,5% FUNCTIONAL TRAITS = 12,5% Somatic Cells count + 12,5% Fertility + 12,5% Productive Life
Some of the bulls presented on this web site have been progeny tested in some other countries (Italia, USA…). Thus, the given proofs are coming from the Interbull conversion. If you want to know the proofs in their own country, please contact us.

DYNAM’IS progeny testing program

Each year, 85-90 young Holstein bulls are progeny tested. Our partnerships give us the capacity to offer pedigrees coming from the main cows family from various countries. We are always open-minded towards partners abroad because it has always been a successful way of working for our company.

Thus, we built solid partnerships for many years, which allow us to propose outcross pedigrees, with the highest sanitary requirements. Indeed, it is always interesting to have some bulls abroad in order to maintain a supplying capacity.
